Trials and preparation
A trial is strongly recommended before your wedding date. It's where all the finer details come together. You'll leave knowing exactly how your hair and makeup will look and feel. Book your trial as soon as possible, ideally 4–6 weeks before your wedding date.
I'll send you a personalised preparation checklist at the time of booking. It covers questions like "how long before my wedding should I have my hair coloured?" and "when should I have my brows waxed or lashes tinted?" It also includes a suggested timeline so your preparations are as smooth as possible.
Many brides choose to tan. If using a self-tanner, experiment well in advance to find the right amount. If attending a professional tanning studio, still test well before the day. Aim to have your tan applied at least 2 days before your wedding, with a light coat on your face for the best colour match.
Products and technique
I use only premium products, including Laura Mercier, Hourglass, Benefit, Urban Decay, Charlotte Tilbury, and Fenty Beauty. Every product is selected specifically for your skin type, tone, and desired finish.
I don't use an airbrush compressor. I achieve a flawless, airbrushed-effect finish using professional brushes: the same seamless, long-lasting, skin-like result, without the machine. This technique gives me greater control across different skin types and conditions. Many of my clients are surprised to learn their look wasn't applied with a compressor at all. Airbrush makeup traditionally refers to a delivery system where foundation is applied using a compressed air gun. I achieve the same result using advanced brush application: flawless, buildable coverage that's long-lasting and breathable. The finish is indistinguishable, and in my experience, professional brush technique is more adaptable to different skin types.
On the day
Allow an hour for hair and an hour for makeup, around 2 hours per person for both services. The bride's hair may run longer depending on the style chosen, which I'll factor into your timeline. I'll do all hair first (to allow it to set and soften), then all makeup to keep it fresh. As the bride, you'll be done toward the end of the hair timeline and around the middle of the makeup timeline, so you're available when your photographer and flowers arrive.
As many as you need. I've worked on parties from 2 to 10 people, and more. For larger parties, I bring additional experienced stylists and artists who work alongside me as your lead artist. There is no additional fee for this.
